Install Quorom
Quorom is currently in alpha. The app is self-signed (not yet notarized by Apple / Microsoft), so the first launch needs a one-time approval.
macOS
- 1Download Quorom for macOS → (universal, ~10 MB)
- 2Unzip and drag
Quorom.appto/Applications. - 3Bypass Gatekeeper (the app is self-signed, not Apple-notarized yet). Run this in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Quorom.app
Or via GUI: System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll to "Quorom was blocked" → click Open Anyway.
- 4Double-click Quorom to launch.
Windows
- 1Download Quorom for Windows → (~14 MB)
- 2Run
quorom-windows-amd64.exe. - 3If Windows Defender SmartScreen shows a "Windows protected your PC" warning:
Click More info → Run anyway.
This warning appears because the .exe is not EV-code-signed (alpha build).
Why am I being warned?
Both Apple and Microsoft warn when an app is downloaded from the internet and isn't signed by a certificate they recognize. Quorom is currently self-signed (free) rather than signed by an Apple Developer ID or Windows EV certificate. We're working on getting both. In the meantime:
- The app is built directly from public release artifacts
- SHA-256 checksums are visible on the release page (right-click the .zip → Get Info → More Info on macOS)
- No telemetry, no auto-update, no background services — Quorom only talks to
relay.quorom.appandapi.quorom.appwhen you sign in
